ABOUT DECK THE POOL HALLS

Every December, Petaluma Active 20-30 holds a holiday social and fundraiser to benefit the families of COTS. The event began as our annual Stocking Bowl- a fun afternoon of bowling for members, friends, and family of all ages. In 2016, we decided to mix things up a bit, relocating to Buffalo Billiards in Petaluma, and dubbing the event "Deck the Pool Halls."

In lieu of an admission fee, members and guests are asked to bring gift cards for local retailers: anything from activity centers, movie passes, bookstores, gas, groceries, haircuts, restaurants, clothing stores, etc., each with a value of $20 or less. These gift cards are then donated to the families at COTS, so they can have fun in the community and enjoy spending quality time together, all while making everlasting memories.

This fun, social event has been a great success each year, raising $1000’s in gift cards for COTS families. In addition to these gift card donations, we also have annually hosted a holiday dinner at COTS, providing a warm meal, winter pajamas, and playing games with the kids.
